Wavey lines on TV when you first turn it on

I have a Mitsubishi Projection TV model #WS-55813.
I had great luck following your directions for replacing capacitors to fix the notiorus blinking green light.
now I have a problem that I know will only get worse. when the TV is first turned on the picture has a lot of wavey looking lines on the screen.
this continues for only a minute or so until the picture clears up and works normal. the lines started a few months back, but everytime I turn on the TV I wonder if this is the time that the wavey lines don't stop or the picture goes out completely.

Sony basic geometry adjustments

I have a Sony KP-57WS500 a friend gave me, the convergence chips went out, he went into service mode and tried to adjust convergence with out replacing the chips and screwed everything up. I replaced the convergence chips, and tried to readjust convergence, however he somehow screwed up the factory default settings.

mitsubishi WS-65909 green convergence problem

My WS-65909 has lost the green convergence around the outer part of the screen. The center part is aligned, but the green curves out at the ends. Searched and found this site by larry Dillion but the IC chips that he links are marked as sold out.

need cassette to cd help

I need to save my favorite old cassettes to cd's, but I need some advise. I assume that I need to connect the outout of a cassette deck to the input port of computer(dedicated sound card or integrated on the motherboard), then use some sort of software in the recording process. That's about all I know, can someone recomend the sort of software that I would need here? Thanks.

HDMI switches don't work

I have three computers with HDMI outputs that I want to connect to my Mitsubishi tv. Here's the problem, all of the computers display perfectly when they are individualy connected to a HDMI input port on the tv, but if I try to use a HDMI switch to connect to the tv, the image on the tv doesn't change: it seems to stay "stuck" on it's last connection thru the switch. It seems as though the electronics inside of the HDMI switch won't allow a change when another channel is selected.  I have tried three different HDMI swichers, all from different manufactures with the same result.

Panasonic PT-53WX53G Flyback HV Lead Removal?

Hi Guys,

I have a Panasonic PT-53WX53G that I'm working on.  It has a high voltage problem - when you turn it on you hear a rapid clicking noise which I think is arcing, the screen turns blue with some fine white vertical lines running through it, and then the unit shuts down and then slowly flashes the front power indicator (it flashes once, pauses, flashes once, pauses, on and on).  All three guns are lighting up but they seem to be flickering.  Reminds me of a flourescent light when the bulbs are bad or the ballast is going out.
