Television and Home Theater

Hello there folks. I have a rather strange problem with the infamous pth5498. I have already been through a convergence repair on the current circuit board, replacing both STK-392-040s as well as blown pico fuses. The repair went well and the set worked fine for about 2 months. The set then began to cycle on and off without fully turning on with a mouse like squeal from the large 2200 microfarad caps on the power supply board as well as a cycling relay click on the convergence board every time the tv would try to cycle on.

My neighbor gave me a Philips rear projection TV. It has a convergence problem. If you go to the convergence screen you can adjust the red and blue, but no option to adjust the green. If I cover the green crt, the screen looks good other then the colors. Uncover the green crt and the red and blue stay the same, but the green won't match up with the other colors. Green bows down at the top middle and up at the bottom middle.I have an Idea what it is, but I would like a confirmation before I order parts! IC-STK392-120    Thanks...Rick1590

I am on my third sony wega fs120 32" tv,the first one had purple patches running down each side. The second one had purple down the right side and green up on th left corner. The third one I still have and it has  purple on both sides and blue. in the bottom left corner. I have moved all external speakers away from the set. When the tecnition looked at th second one, he checked the yoke, removed one of the internal speakers, degaussed the tube, and movet the tv to various spots.
