Television and Home Theater

   I have a hitachi 55EX1K rear projection with what I think is a vert. sync issue. Case in point, picture rolls w/ continuous motion, no jumping. Called around 4 local repair, but nobody has the courage 2 attempt due 2 the age. What I woulld like 2 ask, is it feasible to try and fix, and easy enough 2 attempt myself?

Had a convergence problem, so switched out the convergence ICs. That fixed everything for a few hours, probably 3 hours.  Then the tv just shut off, and now i have no picture and no sound, but still turns on.  Took the back off, and the red light is on, along with 3 green ones. The last green light D940 is blinking and chirping.  Read other posts that said c707 and e994 were the problem. Switched out c707 and still out.  Ive been searching for 3 days to find E994 but cant find it.  Can someone help me out with this? Thanks,

I have a mitsubushi 55" projection tv that has wavy lines going across the screen. At first it was only for about 15 mins after turning on the set and they would go away. The picture would be perfect.  But now they don't go away at all. This is a 6 year old set.  I've been told that it would cost upwards of $600.00 just to start as far as repairs are concerned. Anyone with suggestions or help with this? Thank you.
