Television and Home Theater

I have a Hitachi Ultra Vision rear projection tv model #50ux52b that has worked flawlessly for about 10 years until a short time ago the video would flicker on and off or would change to a pin cushion picture in the center of the screen. This would happen several times back and forth and then eventually the video and audio would quit all together. The red power indicater light would still stay on. If I turned the set off for awhile the video will return but only for a minute or less then it would quit again. Any info.

Okay, I really can't afford a new one right now so I'm really hoping the problem is fixable, but my tv is now 6 1/2 years old so is it even worth it?  The problem is this- after watching for an hour, the tv just shuts off and then starts right back up.  THen I can watch for about another 20-30 minutes before it'll happen again.  Then it starts doing it more frequently until it's pretty much every three or four minutes apart.  It started doing this about a month ago and at first it was maybe once or twice a night.  I've tried plugging it in to three different outlets

Ok, I have a Samsung HCM5525W, with skewed convergence. If you open the convergence section of the user menu, you get the menu and options on-screen, but no selector to show what part of screen you are changing. If you go into convergence service mode, screen stays on, but goes completely blank.

I also have a Samsung PCN5425R with a phosphor burned green tube.  Everything else works great, except blue gun is milky. No biggie, just change coolant.

These TV's were manufactured only a month apart, so I'm hoping for the possibility of interchangeable parts.
