Television and Home Theater

Hey guys this is my first post...and my first tv I am trying to repair.  I have a Philips 55pp935217 with the dptv310 chassis.  I pulled the chassis and found the resistor 3223 in the power supply section was toasted so I replaced the 47 ohm resistor cleaned up a couple other connections on the chassis, plugged everything up and it burnt the same resistor again.  as it stands the tv wont turn on.   Looking at the schematic it appears this is the resistor that feeds the 5v standby voltage...any ideas would be great appreciated.  Thanks Clay

I have a question related to the hooking up of the HDTV aspect of the above Mitsubishi WS tv.  With the advent of HDTV Statilite hookups and HDTV 1080 DVD players I am interested in getting the best picture as possible with the correct wire or cable hookups.  If anyone can explain what I need to do to get the best results. I current components I have are the Sony CD/DVD DVP-NS75H has the HDMI OUT as well as the DISH NETWORK, HDTV DVR satellite Receiver.  The Mits WS TV has an HDTV interface, the manual mentions its 15 pin HDTV CONTROL connec
