MITSUBISHI WS-55805

I have a question related to the hooking up of the HDTV aspect of the above Mitsubishi WS tv.  With the advent of HDTV Statilite hookups and HDTV 1080 DVD players I am interested in getting the best picture as possible with the correct wire or cable hookups.  If anyone can explain what I need to do to get the best results. I current components I have are the Sony CD/DVD DVP-NS75H has the HDMI OUT as well as the DISH NETWORK, HDTV DVR satellite Receiver.  The Mits WS TV has an HDTV interface, the manual mentions its 15 pin HDTV CONTROL connection is used with the optional Mitsubishi HE-1080 receiver, its plug configuration is different then the HDMI pins or shape.  So I guess my next question is, is there an addaptor that will work to connect these two, or is there another solution?  I would be very thankful if you can supply me with some help in this area that I have very little experience.
