Panasonic TH-42PD25

I have a panasonic th-42pd25 plasma television. It has a 3" black vertical line just left of center. Does anyone know what is wrong with this set?

You have a bad plasma panel

You have a bad plasma panel or a ribbon cable connector or a bad panel driver IC. This is not the type of set for a do-it-your-self-er to attempt to repair I'm afraid. Most of the time, if there is a bad driver IC, the entire board or panel has to be replaced. Good Luck
