Hey guys this is my first post...and my first tv I am trying to repair. I have a Philips 55pp935217 with the dptv310 chassis. I pulled the chassis and found the resistor 3223 in the power supply section was toasted so I replaced the 47 ohm resistor cleaned up a couple other connections on the chassis, plugged everything up and it burnt the same resistor again. as it stands the tv wont turn on. Looking at the schematic it appears this is the resistor that feeds the 5v standby voltage...any ideas would be great appreciated. Thanks Clay
Feeds it to where? In a case like this, sometimes you have to start disconnecting things like IC's and capacitors to see where the resistor stops burning up. There is a short in the 5 volt line somewhere. if i had the schematic, I could Maybe give you a little more info.
I tried attactching the schematic...its the 3223 that supplys the 5v standby

Hi Larry,
I am no electronics expert so I have a technician looking at my set for me. Same as Clay's apparently, Mod. # 55pp93 5217 with the DPTV310 chassis. The tech asks for a circuit diagram am well. It seems as though the power is coming in to the set but just stops short somewhere and the set cannot be switched on.
HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please.
