Television and Home Theater

I have seen some of the other emails on this with the same problem.

But I am never seeing what the fix was.

It sounds like I have a bad light tunnel.  SO I just have 2 questions.

Where can I buy the part and and at a decent price ?

Second questions, where can I get a manual that would guide me through

the steps or procedure to replace this. It sounds like it can't be that hard.

RE: 2-yr old Philips 42" LCD TV 42PF7421D.

 I have cable TV hooked up directly into the coax
connection and a dvd player hooked up to the audio/video in connections
on the back of the TV.

When I play either the TV or the DVD, the picture is black&white and a bit blurry.

If I hook up a computer or other device to the side input, the picture is in color and looks ok.

The problen started off with convergence problems then the TV would turn on for a second(just sound) then shut down.with the timer light on steady.. Now the timer light stays on and the TV does nothing when power button is pressed .I tried unplugging and waiting 10min and plugging back in no help the set is a mitsubishi vs-45609...I have the schematics and training manual..I replaced the stk393-110 convergence IC still no help I don't even get the green light or the sound of the relay kicking in. Any Ideas
