Online Video for Cable Operators
Depending on how you look at it, online video is both a threat to and an opportunity for traditional pay-TV providers. It has the potential to undercut subscription fees, and/or it offers a new medium for cable (and telecom) companies to expand their presence with consumers.

NETGEAR's been bringing this technology into homes for years now with the original Digital Entertainer (EVA 700) and Digital Entertainer HD (EVA 8000.) Personally, I've grown quite attached to the Digital Entertainer HD, as I can watch any television shows I've recorded as well as listen to my music collection right in my main setup.
This one’s been percolating for some time within Motorola’s labs. We last saw the “Media Mover” back in September sporting a different enclosure and name (MCUBE). Motorola (MOT) hopes the device will become the “Swiss Army knife” of USB widgets. And they’re well on their way.
