Hello everyone. I have that darn blinking light on my Mitshu 62". I have spent over $200.00 just for a diagnostic check. I was told I could have a bad power board, a bad motor and even 3 boards that could be bad. Whatever happen to customer care like patient care? If anyone out there had this problem and happen to get it fix, what was the problem and the cost to get it fix? If possible if there's a repair book for this t.v I would surely like one. Is there a diagnostic kit a consumer can buy from the store for television sets? They have one for automobiles. Any help from people in this forum would be greatly appreciated. Is there a class action lawsuit against Mitshu? If so where do I sign up? Thanks everyone and to all have a blessed day.
Thank you very much hope and you also have a blessed day I need all the blessings and prayers I can get are you sure of your model number of your set??
Larry
I have a mits 65733 i have been having similar problems i have replaced the lamp on this tv twice i get sound but no picture the tech i got the lamp from tells me it could be the DM Board i finaly took it to the shop and they are telling me it's the light engine. Can you help me out as to how i can tell if that is the problem.
If you are handy, and can solder, you may be able to save about 700 bucks if not more. There is a very common problem with these Mitsubishi TV sets. There is a digital board inside these puppies called the DM board. A lot of times there are four capacitors that go bad inside of these TV sets.
...
I have had a few that looked good but the capacitors were on their way out. Good Luck
no problem,The best advice I can tell you is to go to tvrepairkits.com and order the blinking light kit for your model of set, the kit comes with the high temperature/ high frequency/long life 105 Celsius type capacitors (not those cheap Radio Shack caps) full easy to follow pictorial directions, AND free live on-Line tech assistance in case you run into a problem, all kits are shipped out within 24 hours in most cases, 2 to 3 day Priority mail. GOOD LUCK!!!

WHY?????y did you post under a different model number??? Totally different type of set totally different problems!!!!! sorry but the blinking light kit is NOT for your model number! you need to contact Mitsubishi about this set and they will want you to contact an authorized service center because ONLY authorizes shops are allowed to ship this chassis to them and then you have to pay them about 300 to 400 bucks for labor, your money would be better spent on a different set?!
There is only one obvious answer - because I was not thinking straight, and did not crawl behind the TV until after you asked!
;-)
Thanks...
I unplugged for a while, pulled the lamp, which is getting foggy, but fine. Plugged it back together, and it is working.
This weekend, I need to do a pull apart and suck the dust. I clean the optics about once a year, but probably should do the circuit board. We live in the country, and stuff gets dusty. Could be a cooling issue.
Hey Larry, Nice to see this thread is still going strong after, what, 2 years??? LOL
