Larry,
I have a Mitsubishi model WS-558989. I am having the green light timer light will not quit flashing and the tv will not turn on. Tried the reset light as described in the owners manual, the light still flashes. Tried unplugging and plugging back in, still same problem. I saw your comments about capacitor problems, can you help me figure this out?
Larry,
I have a Mitsubishi model # WS-55859. I am haveing the same capacitor problem you spoke of in a previous article. The green timer light flashes continually and the tv will not turn on. Tried the reset button as directed in the owners manual, did not help. I thought it might reset if I unplugged the tv and plugged back in, but did not help. Do you have any suggestions as how to repair this situation?
Thanks,
Dan
I am having the same issue. The timer light on my Mitsu wd-52725 is blinking and the TV wouldn't power on. The reset switch didn't fix the problem. Can you send me the repair? [email protected]
Hi Larry,
I emailed you last week but I haven't received anything and I even checked my spam folder! Could you please send to me again... hopefully it's not a problem with my email. Mitsubishi WS55513 Thanks for your help! Email: [email protected]
WS-55909....I just got the blinking green light after a power outage in my neighborhood. Can you send me the manual/instructions to fix, and/or a place to send the board to be repaired? Thanks,
thank you for looking - oddly enough i took my tv apart and blew on the board, re-assembled it and now it works! I figured if it worked for NES cartridges it could work for Mits tvs. ;)
no Jason there are no bad connections in the set1!!The reason it worked is you unpluged the set, The TV does not fix itself!!! you still need to replace the 4 capacitors inside the DM before it blows out the board and this board is no longer available any longer My best advise would be to go to tvrepairkits.com and order the blinking light kit for your model it includes top grade Panasonic capacitors, easy to follow directions with pictures and free on-line tech assistance in case you run into a snag with the repair GOOD LUCK!!
Larry do you still have the instructions? I would like you to send them to me, mine has done this for the last few months on and off. Now it wont come back on at all. Figures just as the warranty ran out.
Larry I also have the same problem with my Mit WD-62525 with the blinking green light. Could you please send me a copy also on how to fix it. ([email protected])
Geez... Unfortunately I just joined the crowd. Never ending green blinking light of death, lol. Could I also get the how-to on the fix Larry? I have a WS-65613.
Hi everybody! I have a WS-65315 that won't even turn on! PS checks out OK, but I have a friend that is very knowledgeable about circuit boards, and he has pointed out an area to me where it seems a nasty rodent has most likely urinated on the main board! It has corroded the board right in this area. Sorry, but I guess my question is does anybody know where I can get a replacement board?
Thanks in advance!
Larry,
I am thrilled to see the posts as I also have the dreaded green blinking light on m tv as well. It has been sitting collecting dust until my wife came across your site.
I think my TV in a 63
Larry, my post got shredded somehow..I was saying that I too have the blinking green light. The TV has not been used for about 2 months because I don't know what to do. I am encouraged by your info and have a friend who is an expert at soldering.
Could you please send me the instruction for the fix as well??
Thank you,
John G.
PS where do you find the model numbers on these tv's, I want to make sure mine is a 65 and not a 63............
Larry, your team has helped me in the past correct the blinking green light on my Mits. WS55513. It has been working great for about 6-8 months. Now this same set has vertical lines over the entire screen. (looks like a ruffle potato chip). This happens on all inputs (tuner-Video1-2-etc.) Any ideas?
Larry,
I have replaced the 7 caps. and am still having problems. it turns on now for about 30 seconds, then shuts off and the blinking light starts again. What else should i be looking at?

Larry, I have a ws-b55.
many times over the last month the tv will sparatically shut off, flash the light for a few seconds, and then i can power it back on.
two days ago i came home and the light was flashing,,, it continued for hours this time and i could not get it to power up.
I unplugged the tv as i removed and opened up the dm board, the caps look good. but i ordered them anyway.
today, i plugged the tv back in. it flashed for a few minutes and then stopped... i was able to power it up for a minute or so and it shut down again.
is this the same problem? if so, please send the repair instructions to [email protected]
