If you hit the power switch,

If you hit the power switch, does the set attempt to comne on? Maybe there is a plug you forgot to plug back in? Were the capacitors bad that you replaced? Did you put in the capacitor on the board with the proper polarity?

Hello! We have a WS-65713 and

Hello! We have a WS-65713 and it's having the same blinking green light problem :-(
It was working fine last night. My husband said he didn't even turn on the TV all morning. But when he tried to turn it on this afternoon, nothing happens and the light just keeps blinking as if mocking us! I've been reading this thread and it sounds like an easy fix. If someone can tell us what exactly to buy and send me a very good set of instructions, I will definitely try to fix this...please email: [email protected]

Thanks!!!

Larry,

Larry,

When I push the power button, I hear the picture tube click on then the green light comes on for about 3-4 seconds then it shuts off.  I made sure the caps were in the right polarity and I don't think they were bad when I put them in.  Also, I'm pretty sure all the plug-ins are plugged in and I couldn't get the service manual to open.  It tries to come on then shuts off as if some protection circuit is being tripped.  I did accidentally desolder and remove the black cap next to the caps but I put it back in according to the picture I saw on the forum, hhhmmm don't know what happened...

I did a continuity test on

Larry, any suggestions about my issue?  Fixed the dm module but TV turns on, i hear the click of the tubes stays on for 3-4 sec then shuts off.  All connectors are connected and I did continuity tests on fuses and they show good.  What about the litle black caps labeled 2R7? do they go bad as well??  Thanks

I have never replaced those

I have never replaced those Capacitors. You will need to check the start up voltage in the main power supply.

Hey Larry, I received the docs. Thanks again. I called and my TV is still under warranty through Tweeter. Is there anything secret about the docs? I was going to print them out and buy the parts from Frys in case they did not know how to fix the TV. Thanks, Tim

If you have to order them,

If you have to order them, make sure you get the 105C type. These are the hi-temp. caps. NOT the 85C type.

Larry,

Larry,

Ordered the recommended caps from DigiKey.  Replaced all the caps.  TV works great once again.  Wanted to say thank you very much!

I wasn't sure it would work since the caps looked fine, no "bulging" on the tops.  But had read you? had replaced them when they looked fine and sometimes it worked.
