Larry, I think you've been a godsend to the folks in this forum!

I have a WS-65513 also.  Same symptoms as the others.  It used to occasionally turn off while we were watching a show and start the green light blinking.  The manual says it's from a power surge.  I had it plugged in to a high end surge supressor, but, oh well.  We would turn it off, wait a minute, turn it back on and it would be OK.  Lately it's been doing the same thing except now we can't even make it through an hour long show!

Can you send me the instructions and manual also?  Thanks!

larry, please consider

larry, please consider uploading your help files to a download service such as RapidShare (http://rapidshare.com/) and then posting the download links here so that people can download the file on their own, saving your the time and trouble of sending it out all the time. There would be no cost to you and the files would remain on their server unless not accessed for 90 days. From the busyness of the responses here, that wouldn't happen anytime soon. Thanks.

Larry - I could use the instructions as well, having the same problem w/ the blinking light...

Larry Dillon said: If you are handy, and can solder, you may be able to save about 700 bucks if not more. There is a very common problem with these Mitsubishi TV sets. There is a digital board inside these puppies called the DM board. A lot of times there are four capacitors that go bad inside of these TV sets. Sometimes, depending on how bad the capacitors are, and if the capacitors did not blow out anything else on the Dm board, you can simply replace these four capacitors and this will fix your TV set. The average that this works on is about 65 to 70 % of the sets can be repaired with this fix. The others are power supply issues or the DM board has other issues. If you would like to attempt to repair your TV set, I will send you the instructions on how to do so.  If you do not know how to solder well, do not attempt to replace the capacitors yourself. Pay a pro to do this for you. After all you are already saving a bundle of cash. Leave an e-mail address, and I will forward you the fix with and without the light engine. And if the capacitors inside the board are not swollen on the tops, as the direction shows you what they look like, the capacitors are most likely not your problem.

I guess its a disposable address anyhow, so please send here: [email protected] Thanks in advance. just a tip for the other though: everybody else posting their address in the clear will be getting spammed from the bots that harvest recognizable addresses posted on the web.

cko, thats why you are

cko, thats why you are suppose to have bulk type mail you set up, and spam is illigal you know with yahoo, so send it back as spam. The problem is not as bad as peeps put on as it is. Yes there is a lot oif spammers who will try and send you fake responses to leys say like e-bay, but you should know better then to give the info to those types of services if asked out of the blue without contacting them first. I have e-mail for personal, and one for the public, they can send me anything they wish, if I do not know them, i will not open the attachmnet.

Larry,

Larry,

My Mitsubishi (model WS-55813) is now afflicted with the dreaded blinking green light of death.  Being a mature adult, my first reaction was to blame my wife and daughters for the problem.   But after seeing the large number of other people who have this same issue, I have to conclude maybe it's a design defect versus operator error.

I was an Electronics Technician in the Coast Guard 30 years ago, but I doubt analog tube technology has changed much in the last 3 decades...  And I can still work a soldering iron!

I'd really appreciate you sending any helpful repair information to: [email protected]

Thanks for your help!  John

Larry,

Larry,

I have been looking over several of these posts from many different threads and I can't get back to where I was originally.  I signed my husband up for this forum so he can come back and get additional help if needed.  So please forgive me for my ignorance, he's the techy, not me.

In the original post for the green blinking light on the mitsubishi you gave several things to check with part numbers (I think) voltage and such.  I'm trying to get back to that post because my husband wants me to email it to him.  We are also needed the Blinking Green Light fix plus the service manual for the Mitsubishi Medallion HDTV1080i Integrated Model #WS-65613.  If you could please send me the information to my husband's email I would be forever gratefull.  His email is [email protected].

Thanks!!

THE CAPS TOOK CARE OF THE POWER UP PROBLEM. BUT I'M BACK TO A PROBLEM THAT I WAS HAVING BEFORE THEY WENT OUT OR MAYBE THEY CAUSED THE PROBLEM BEFORE THEY WENT OUT?

I  KEEP LOSING THE PICTURE TO A BLUE SCREEN,NO MATTER WHAT WHAT INPUT I USE. I CAN TURN THE SET OFF AND BACK ON AGAIN AND THE PICTURE WILL RETURN (SOMETIMES IT WILL STAY ON FOR A FEW SECONDS OR AS MUCH AS TEN MINTUES) THIS WAS THE ORIGINAL PROBLEM.WHEN I TALKED A LOCAL DEALER FOR MITSUBISHI THEY HAD ME TRY THE SYSTEM RESET. AFTER THE SYSTEM RESET BEING PUSHED IS WHEN THE POWER LED STARTED BLINKING CONTINOUSLY. HAVE THE CAPS POSSIBLY CAUSED OTHER DAMAGE TO THE DM? THANKS   [email protected]

Larry,

I was reading most of the Mitsubishi TV sets with Green Light Blinking, not powering up, and they refer to having issues with the DM Module.

Does the ws-55813 could have the same problem I been reading about on the other posts? Is the repair manual with wiring schematics for this unit available?

I bought this Unit in late '03 early '04...

Thank you for your help.
