Larry Dillon said: This problem could be a bad DM board.  If you are handy or knows anyone who is, and they can solder, I have an instructional file that will show you how to take out the DM board, find the bad parts, and even give you a source where to get the parts. There are even pictures included!  Now once you get this apart, and the capacitors look good, check the capacitors, or have them checked.  I have seen in a few cases where some folks have only replaced the capacitors that looked bad.  If this does not fix your problem, you will need to have a pro come out and check out your TV set..  If you do not have a clue what you are doing, please play it safe and call in a tech.  If this board is indeed bad, the repair should not eceed 1000 bucks.  If you want this file, leave an e-mail address and i will forwar it to you.  Remember, there is a possibility that there is another problem with your TV set, but this has fixed over 65% of the peoples TV sets that I have shared this file with.  Good Luck, and let us know if this helps you.

That would be great!!!  You can send it to [email protected]

Thanks!

Stormey, mj, and beckajo, I

Stormey, mj, and beckajo, I have sent all of you the documents you have requested. I hope this helps you repair your TV set. In the event the capacitors do not look bad, replace them anyway, as I have seen many times in the past that they were not swollen on the tops but were still bad and did in deed repair the set after they were installed.  Good Luck to all of you.

HI there Larry I have a

HI there Larry I have a Mitsubishi 55" WS-55513, bout about 4 yrs ago and when  I got home tonite and found my T.V. with a flashing green light also, unplugged the t.v. and when i plugged it back in, made a clicking noise, and flashed the green light again. I was wondering if this can be fixed by changing the capacitors with a high temp capacitors?,  or is this a different issue?, this has happend before a couple of times, but i would just unplug the tv for like a hr or two, and that seemed to solve the problem at the time.  But now it will not turn on at all, if you can give me any advice and send the fixit file that would be great..

e-mail is [email protected]

thanks

Val and km, I have sent you

Val and km, I have sent you the documents you requested so you can attempt the repair on your TV set. If you do not know how to solder, play it safe and find a friend or a pro to unsolder and to solder these capacitors, as the PC board is very small and can be easily damaged. Also remember that this is not a place to be experimenting around inside of so if you do not know what something does, don't mess with it. Be careful. Good Luck

big, it is on its way. Good

big, it is on its way. Good luck with this repair. Just remember, if you have any questions, please ask me or a local pro, as you only get one shot at repairing this problem. It is so easy to mess up the printed circuit board, so if you do not understand anything, or do not have the soldering skills, please have it done by a pro, or someone who does know about soldering on printed circuit boards.  Good Luck

I think I have the same

I think I have the same problem.  Green blinking light of death.  Tried all the usual fixes, I guess it's time to dig in there.  My set is a WD-62725.  I could really use those instructions as well.  Thanks, [email protected]

My model is 65813. Started the blinking when I tried to turn it on last night. Unplugging it for over an hour and resetting it didn't get it working. Could I trouble you to send me the instructions for the repair? I can solder. [email protected]  . Thank you.

CAMERONO
Larry,

Larry,

Do have any ideas on of what i can do? If you do e-mail me at [email protected] .

Thanks,

Cameron

Camerono, look around for

Camerono, look around for capacitors that may have a black ooze coming from underneath them, or maybe may be swollen on the tops. Also I am not sure, as i do not remember, this set may be the model that has a PIP board that has a bunch of capacitors bad on it. You will really need to get a service manual so you can trouble shoot this TV. If you do not understand how to read a circuit diagram and follow its circuit flow, that would be a waist of money. If you can read a schematic diagram, get the service manual, forward me a copy and we will see if I can help you. No guaranties but I will try.
