LG DC593W Connecting to SKY & TV

Can anyone tell me the correct way to connect the LG DC593W to the sky sat. box and to a GRUNDIG television. I can't seem to get them to work together. I have to disconnect the sky box when watching DVD's or vcr tapes. And it seems impossible to get the sky channels through the vcr to record programs on.

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

Toshiba DVD/DVR DR 2 Help

I have a Toshiba rdxs32su. Somehow the settings for my remote got changed to dr 2 on the machine. Now my remote won't work. The manual says to hit setup and the #2 to change. All that comes up is DR 2 on the machine. I can't acess my HD without the remote and codes don't work for it on universal either. Please help me! It is less than a year old and toshiba wants to charge me to send it in. I also have held down the power button for 10 seconds and it doesn't work either!

Can't access DVD setup menu

I have a Sony Compact AV System DAV-FC7. I mistakenly set "component out" in "screen setup" to "progressive" the menu immediately disappeared and I can only see a blue screen during disk play. Troubleshooting says to set the "scan select" switch to "Interlace", of course without an onscreen menu there is no switching. Anyone have any suggestions?

Help with JVC multi-system VCR

I just received the JVC VCR that I ordered through the Navy Exchange. It's a multi-system VCR (HR-V610AJ) and I can't get it to set up. I get nothing from VCR, in spite of going through the entire set up routine in the handbook. I have my satellite receiver connected to VCR, connected to TV. What on earth am I doing wrong? I have a US television and satellite. I didn't realize what "multisystem"
meant (duh on me) when I ordered, but I guess the Exchange is catering to overseas service members. This *should work with my equipment though, from what I understand.

Early Adopter says, "no way" to HD-DVD

I just read Matt Whitlock's HD-DVD article about the introduction of the first commercial HD-DVD player and all I can say is "yawn".

I'm an early adopter, the kind that Matt refers to and presumably the kind that would jump at the chance to be one of the first to snatch up one of these (admittedly reasonably priced) high-def DVD players. After all, I have already taken the HD plunge with new TVs, upgraded satellite service, and more so it would seem like I'm the ideal candidate for adopting HD-DVD.

tivo

when I got back from vacation, my TIVO was "clicking". It's now frozen, and the TV does nothing at all!
