I just received the JVC VCR that I ordered through the Navy Exchange. It's a multi-system VCR (HR-V610AJ) and I can't get it to set up. I get nothing from VCR, in spite of going through the entire set up routine in the handbook. I have my satellite receiver connected to VCR, connected to TV. What on earth am I doing wrong? I have a US television and satellite. I didn't realize what "multisystem"
meant (duh on me) when I ordered, but I guess the Exchange is catering to overseas service members. This *should work with my equipment though, from what I understand. Can anyone help me??

Help with JVC multi-system VCR
Can you get it to play a tape, or is it just that you can't get your TV picture through it?
Multi-system means that it can probably play and output NTSC, PAL, SECAM, and maybe other video formats. If you're hooking it up to a US model TV, make sure it's set for NTSC.
