Video Playback / Recording Devices

I have a sansui vrdvd4000, the dvd won't play my disc's, keeps saying disc error or check disc. 

Help, I  have a problem with my dvd recorder on the power supply board. It has fried a resistor and is now putting out 12.6v from two outputs that should only be 3.9v to the main pcb. Does anyone know if there are mini fuses on the main board or is it likeley to be fried also?

Sony DVP-F21 dvd player will turn on and display stand buy on the screen then powers off. The problem has happen once or twice in a month period but I would just unplug it for a few minutes and it would be ok. I bought this unit new never been droped or around moisture. I did take it apart to retrive my dvd I had to manule open the disk drive. I put the disk drive in between eject & load. When power was applied it had enough power to reset the disk drive and displayed stand buy then would shut down.
