Sony DVP-F21 dvd player will turn on and display stand buy on the screen then powers off. The problem has happen once or twice in a month period but I would just unplug it for a few minutes and it would be ok. I bought this unit new never been droped or around moisture. I did take it apart to retrive my dvd I had to manule open the disk drive. I put the disk drive in between eject & load. When power was applied it had enough power to reset the disk drive and displayed stand buy then would shut down.
I think I have a power supply problem but when I got on sonys website and talked to a online tech he had no clue & sugested to send it in. There is a lawsuit building against sonys dvd players check to see if yours is eligable.
Also how to check power supply under a load.
If I don't get it to work I will keep it for the lawsuit.
