VCR/DVDR error message

Hello in there. Is there anybody reading this that can give me a little info on an error message that has sudenly begun to pop up when I try to record a DVD. I have a Magnavox VCR/DVDR combo model# MWR20V6 that has decided that the media that I've been using (for quite some time) is no longer recordable. The message is numbered: E4   54037380 and the text is: Can not record to this disc. The media that I'm using is Verbatim DVD-R and as I've said, I've recorded with it numerous times already.

Panasonic dvd recorder with sky +

I just spent all day trying to hook up my new Panasonic DMR-EX85EBS dvd recorder, what a nightmare!! I use the sky + box for my bedroom tv using a magic eye but that means digi arial was feeding the bedroom tv set so I couldnt get any signal for the dvd recorder, after undoing my magic eye I got the unit working only to realise that you can't record your stuff from the sky + hard drive onto a dvd, at least thats the impression I got.

DVD recorder error message

Hey there,

I have a Magnavox VCR/DVDR model MWR20V6 that has suddenly started sending an error message; E4 54037380  Can not record to this disc. I have used discs from this same Lot and type (Verbatim DVD-R) numerously and had no problem. This isn't the first machine which this has happened with either. It's almost as if the manufacturers have set a limit on the number of discs that can be recorded on each machine, because the other machine seems to have started messing up at about the same time. Any suggestions?
