Video Playback / Recording Devices

Replaced the CP25 in the Power Unit to cure dim display and now the video powers backup in what seems to be child-lock mode. I can't release the child lock by pressing the child-lock button on the Remote Control as the user manual suggests.

Any ideas welcome.

i have a sanyo dvd/vcr machine and was attempting to copy old family video's onto a dvd r . BUT at first the player said no disk, i tried to put it in my laptop to see what it made of it, the laptop could register that i had put the disk in so i tried putting it in the dvd/vcr machine again but now the dvd slot thing won't open. i have tried to turn the machine on and off also i have unplugged it and re-plugged it in but nothing i do helps. also i have tried to look in the hatch but i can't see anything jamming it. do you know what could be happening????

I was attempting to use a hack code to make my Sony dvd player (an NS355) all regions. I obtained a set of instructions from the net which required the use of a 7040 all-in-one remote. My all-in-one is actually numbered URC 7710. Maybe that was my mistake. I followed the instruction which were as follows:
