Video Playback / Recording Devices

About 6 months ago i started having trouble buring dvds, i was using a liton dvd burner,after about 150 dvds, it would burn about 23 percent, and i would get a burn error. I bought another brand new liton dvd drive,and it did the same thing. I was told to get the firmware updated, i did it did no good. I replaced this drive with a new sony dvd drive. It worked fine for about 1 month. Now it is taking 3 times as long to burn dvds as it once did. It is getting slower and slower. MY other programs seem to be working fine.

We bought a Panasonic DMR-EX75 dvd recorder in December 2006. It's been great up to last night when the handset stopped talking to the recorder. It will turn on and off but that's about all. I keep getting an odd message on the display SP28:54, but that does not appear in the list of error codes. I've changed the batteries in the handset, I've disconnected the power supply to try to reset the whole thing but it's just not happy. It won't play any pre-recorded DVD or any home recorded ones. It won't access anything recorded on the hard disc or let us into Functions.

I need help hooking up TIVO to a Sony STR-DG 710. Any quick answers?
