Video Playback / Recording Devices

  Our GVX DVD player was fine 2 weeks ago.  Now, It has a lingering loading message than a "Bad Disc" message.  Everything appears to be plugged in properly.  Other DVD discs come up with the same message, so it seems like it must be the player.  What possible solutions could there be?  thank you

hi,HELP NEEDED,,MY DVD RECORDER WONT EJECT THE FILM INSIDE,,IT JUST SHOWS BLOCKED ON THE DIPLAY,,IVE UNPLUGGED IT ETC  BUT STILL BLOCKED,,STRANGE THING IS IT STILL PLAYS THE FILM ,,FORWARDS REWINDS THE FILM NO PROBLEMS BUT WONT EJECT,,PLEASE CAN ANYBODY HELP,,I HAVE THE BACK OFF NOW BUT CANT SEE ANYTHING WRONG,,ITS ONLY 15 MONTHS OLD AND IN  GREAT CONDITION,,

I have Time Warner Cable and I have HD-DVR.  I also have a home theater system from Sony.  I recently received a dvd/VHS combo recorder Philips DVDR 3320V.  I would appreciate a wiring diagram so I can record the shows from my DVR to DVD for safekeeping and viewing away from home.
