Television and Home Theater

i have a problem to do with my 28" my tv screen settings they have shrunk to very slim across middle and the corners have gone in i cannot find the menu of how yo do it on the remote  it came up factory V5.00ATPU29 and the settings came up to change it so (by accident) it changed ,and it is only a basic remote a duplicate maybe of the original. pls help my mail adds is [email protected] i just need to reset the screen back  to normal THX  ANTHONY

I "helped" a friend by running a new coaxial cable from an antenna splitter to the DirectTV box that goes to her television set.  After I left, I got a call from her that every time she turns on her tv in the kitchen with her remote, the tv in the bedroom goes on.  This didn't happen before I changed the cable--although I can't see any connection between the two events other than coincidence. 

I have a  problem with my TV, on the left side a  little below 1/2 it has a black shadow almost all the way to the bottom and it goes out to a point to the other side of the screen, it's kind of like a cone.  It is a 36" Panasonic and it has run great until just recently.  Can anyone help me?
