Television and Home Theater

I have an older Zenith HDTV. It is model D32D51 and is a tube HDTV. We turned the TV on this morning it was reddish with no green. When you look at the Weather Channel and see rain it is not green, but is black. I went to the menu and checked the tint. I can not change it and it seems to be the locked into full red.

My question is it worth fixing? It is a minor problem or major. I paid around $1000 in 2001 for the TV and have enjoyed it up until now, but am not sure I want to put anymore into it.

I have a 5 yo philips Smart Series (sorry D/N now model #) The colors are separating out, in other words you see red, yellow, and blue separately for in the image.   Is this a cheap repair?  I have called around and the shops recomm a new tv (of course they do - they sell tv's, but there are enough of them in the land fills now.)

i have HP71 monitor 17" color model D8901A  chasis CMC4217.

it was all running ok. suddenly there was a very bright thin vertical white line  in the monitor.

i watched closely and found as if the picture was squezed by 1-2mm SIZE.into a thin vertical line.

after few seconds the mionitor went dead and tik tik sound is continuously coming(may be from the flyback). i changed the flyback transistor but nothing happened.

please check what to check/replace next?
