Television and Home Theater

Hi,  got a jvc tele  with an annoying fault it start's up perfect picture and sound, after being on for variable amounts of time screen turns red, turn off and back on, fault returns.  Like to know a quick fix.

can anyone help me? i have just changed my television from one with 2 scart sockets to just one scart socket. i have a dvd-r, vcr and cable box hooked up to my television which was working perfectly in a loop system. i have now just added a twin scart connector to the back of the television but cannot watch either dvd or vcr unless i switch cable off as i get pic from dvd but sound from cable with a rolling screen. when i do turn cable off pic from dvd/vcr is very dull with lower sound!!!  is this due to the quality of the twin scart connector or something else?

 I know IDTV will be kicking in soon (2009/11)as standard so its best to get a IDTV if poss , What about HDTV Will that be as standard to , if so when ? any advice and help, I would be grateful

 Looking for a cheap widescreen HDTV with IDTV 32"
