Are tv signals going to be HD only? what happens in 5 -10 years if i dont get a HD ready tv? If i dont have a HD Ready tv will my tv simply be phased out ?
Im not confusing myself with iDTV but on a recent post I asked Idtv is being forced in between 2009/2011 . Whens HDTV being forced in?

This is a great question, but it will depend on where you live. Every country has its own regulations for television adoption. Are you in the US?
The changeover has been moved to mid 2009. All VHF frequencies are to be sold to the highest bidder. All transmissions will be required to be in HDTV. Without an HD set, you'll have to purchase a converter box to convert the HD transmitted signal to work on a NTSC set.
