Television and Home Theater

I have a samsung projection TV HCL4715W. The picture went black while the TV was on and since then other than sound, there is no picture. I opened the TV and can't see any light in the CRT. Called in a technician and he said that the deflection board was gone and that there was no high voltage. Suggested $400 to repair it with a replacement board which I refused. Checked online for the price of the board and bought it online for $170.

does anyone know how to factory reset this particular model. i have a red background raster instead of blue, the engineer thinkls its and adjustment on plasma but does not know how to on this particular screen .........  help

I have an older magnavox television and for the last couple of months when I turn it on it takes forever for the picture to come on, its like the tv is trying to warm up.  Could that be the picture tube going out and if so does anyone have a rough estimate as to how much it would cost to repair or if its just better to get a brand new tv?
