Television and Home Theater

I've read tons of articles where people are having problems with the tubes in this model but I'm only having one very annoying problem. . .

 When I cut on the tv it brings up the choose your language "blue screen" every single time.  Even if you go all the way through that setup process which is lengthy I might add, it still does the same thing the next time you cut the TV on.

Is anyone familiar with the power schematic of this monitor.  My Main power into the unit is on and working,  but the Sub Power button and the Remote are not powering on the unit.  I know there is power as i was shocked slightly while tracking the power from its main source to the circut boards and sub power on/off button.  Any ideas would be great.  thanks

I have just brought a Samsung LE40R73BD and can't use the picture in picture feature, Curry's where i got it from said it works, when connected to an external source ie dvd and/or vcr. I have it connected to a dvd recorder and sky+ (which is new and was fitted by sky) but i can't get it  to do it. do i need anything else, please  help
