HELP ME MR. WIZARD!!!!!!

I have a 35 inch Mitsubishi, model numberCS35601. It was made in 1994. Yes it's a dinosaur in todays market. However it worked great until we had a power outage. We smelled something so we immediately unplugged the set. After power was restored i plugged the set back in and turned it on.

We have an LG DLP 42'' television which is just over two years old. About nine months ago we started having trouble getting it to start from standby. The red light goes off, the amber flashes and you can hear the television firing up but nothing happens and it goes back to red. Other times it comes straight on. We heard that there was an on going problem with Toshibas not recognising the signal from a sky box (which we have). We swapped sky boxes and it was cured! Now six months later it has started doing it again!! has anyone else had this problem?

I have a 65' Mitsubishi ws-65813 purchased in 2004. Recently, the front indicator light started blinking greaan and will not stop. I have tried all the usual remedies - power off, reset switch, etc. and even changed the capacitors on the power board. Nothing has worked so far. Can anyone help with a solution?
