CRACKLING NOISE

hello! I need your help. I have a RCA model # p46151wk rear projection t.v. , it doesn't want to turn on any more. When i press the power button , it just makes this clicking noise. can you help?

how can i connect my philips dvd 711 to an old jcpenny tv that only has a coax connection?

I have an old JCPenny television that only supports antenna and a coaxial connection. I would like to be able to play my Philips DVD711 through this television. The dvd player has a RCA-style coaxial port, so I thought I could run a coax cable between the tv and the dvd player using a coax/RCA adapter, but so far it is not working out that way. I don't know if the adapter that I bought is wrong, or if the coaxial port on the dvd player is only meant to support a digital audio feed to an amplifier.
