Television and Home Theater

I have a 36 inch Sony CRT.  None of the controls will function, not the remote or push buttons.  I contacted an authorized Sony repair shop who told me there is a service bulletin out on this series of TV sets because oxidation on the aluminum switches causes this malfunction.  He further said the only guaranteed repair is to replace the circuit board but the boards are no longer available.  He further said he could obtain a set of the push button switches and replace all of them to see if that will cure the problem.  The TV set is about 5 years old, and, except for

My 32' LG LCD TV has suddenly lost picture! The sound is all right but the creen is pitch black. After switching it on the picture flashes for a second and then  the screen goes completely black. I unplugged everything, tried to reset it, no good. PLEASE HELP!

Hi, I've got my laptop (ATI 1650) to my new Sony LCD TV, but I've come across a problem. The Image is displayed okay, but it appears the resolutions not set correctly. I've set my Laptop to 1280x768 for the second display and checked the LCD TV which is also accepting 1280x768, so I was expecting a perfect picture fit on the screen.
