Television and Home Theater

I have an older Sanyo TV.  Model # AVM252A. 25" screen.   It quite working last night and won't turn back on.   It would always make a click when it was turned on and the display would take about5 seconds.   Now, when I press the on button,  I receive a softer click and after 3 seconds I get a lower, muffled click and nothing else happens.

The TV is about 15 years old and has some options in it that I really like.  Do you think I should have it looked at or am I wasting my time and just go out and get a new one?

I am trying to re-program the channels for a friend's 1996 Panasonic TV.  Previously the channels could be accessed by pressing channel up or down keys on the remote.  The tv has capability of 181 channels.  The cable is hooked up directly to the tv/wall.  There is no cable box.  It used to be that you could use the scroll keys to access all the channels....

Hey all.

 I have a 42" Mitsubishi WT 42313 1080 series HDTV. Had it since 2003, great TV. But recently the screen will go from full screen into the smaller screen with the gray framing on the sides, then blink black on and off. It isn't consistant, sometimes it will do it a few times then not for a few minutes. Sometimes it will do it constantly. I have no idea what the problem is.

I checked all my cords, all are secure. The blinking happens whether we are watching TV, a DVD, or I am playing my PS2, so I figure it is the TV. Any ideas?
