connecting dell laptop to lg lcd tv - laptop keeps going blank

Hi.  Trying to connect dell laptop to LG LCD 32" TV via VGA/Serial port.  The connection initially works for about 10 seconds (resolution is perfect on TV) however then the laptop screen keeps going blank every 5 or so seconds (no signal msg comes up on TV)and sometimes returns with different resolution then goes blank again etc.
It is the same when i connect with S Video cable.
I changed refresh rate and resolution on laptop but it is still the same. Cheers

55PP9352 55" Philips HDTV Convergence Help!

Hi, I purchased a Philips 55" HDTV, HDR Projection TV 50i-55i,
Model# 55PP9352 or 55PP935217 or 55PP935299 in 2002. The problem with my TV is that the convergence has gone bad and the colors are not aligned, I am going to fix the TV myself but Im having trouble finding which parts I will need to replace, or are recommended to replace and what the part numbers are so that I can get them. Partsstore.com has a search by model number but out of all the parts they list, Im not sure which are what. If anyone could help me, this would be really appreciated.

This is the tv:

kp51hw40 -6blinks A board or D board

Hi,

My Sony Kp51hw40 died yesterday while I was watching TV. It flashed green then turned off. When I tried to turn it back on it just turned back off(heard the relays clicking)

I 've read alot that the 6 blinks indicate that something may be wrong with the D board, but the service manual says to look at the A and B boards, and the +5V is shorted or overloaded.

From Service Manual:

1) +5 line is overloaded (A, B boards)
2) +5 line is shorted (A, B boards)

problem with panasonic tv CT-20G21

This TV is 10 years old.   The top is curving over the picture and causes 8 or 9 horizontal lines to appear at the top of the screen.   The heads of people on the screen seem to bend over the top and come down on the screen.  The affected area grows smaller after the set warms up.

Is there any way to adust for this inside or in the back of the TV (have not moved the set yet due to its present tight fit in the enclosure of the cabinet)?

       Thank you,

voltage problem

Help. I have had problems with my cable service as of late so I had a tech out, and I did not like what he had to say, so I had another tech out and he told me the same thing. I have a Sharp Aquos 42" LCD they told me that it was putting voltage into my cable line causing my problems. At first I did not believe as I had never heard of this. I removed the Tv from the system and put a 13" cheapo tv in and beleieve it or not could still feel the voltage in the cable. So the tech came out yesterday and showed that there was 60 volts coming from the cable in jack on the 13 inch tv.

No luminance issue

So apparently our new tv's luminance is out or something.  We've been trying to figure out how to fix this without having to resolder a bunch of crap.  Does anyone have any ideas?  I've heard from a few people that there is something we could jiggle or clean that may help.
