Television and Home Theater

I'm looking to purchase a 20" tv/dvd combo for my rv. It appears the lcds are lighter and offer a good quality pix. My question is...will the lcd hold up to bumps/movement the rv makes as well or better than a crt? Suggestions/comments?

I have a KP-51WA510 that I bought new in October 2003. I've had problems with this TV since the day it was delivered.

The TV flickers/flashes a blue/purple color periodically. I can't remember exactly what they did, but Sony repaired the TV (under warranty) twice by, I believe, replacing the "A board". Their fix never solved the problem though.

I've got a 2002 Philips 55p8288 rear projection, the picture was cloudy so I changed the coolant. Now the bottom half has a green(sometimes green and red) haze, looks like everything isn't lined up, and part of the screen drops off the botom. What do I need to do to fix this other than calling a repair man?
