Television and Home Theater

I have a sony kp-57WS500and the green picture tube is off, I pulled the front speaker off and was going to switch the panels from red to green like i read in the other posts. I discovered on the board under the green picture tube had a resistor that was burnt, could this be the problem?I don't have a service manual but the resistor is r7217, do you think this was the problem. Do you have any information on this part and where to by one.   

Hi - I have a SONY KDF-E50A12U one year old and have started to notice ghosting when DVDs are played. I have tried different scart leads and even a different DVD player, no ghosting with normal picture or satellite does any one out there have any idea what my problem is?

HI, I have  the above mentioned 48" projection tv. I bought it as a floor model in 3/07. Ever since we bought it, the picture is great; however, we are missing any top or bottom ticker information. When watching ESPN, we cannot see the scores scroll along the bottom.  People's heads are cut off on the top.  We have tried resetting the cable box/tv settings for the hd/1080 format.
