HI, I have the above mentioned 48" projection tv. I bought it as a floor model in 3/07. Ever since we bought it, the picture is great; however, we are missing any top or bottom ticker information. When watching ESPN, we cannot see the scores scroll along the bottom. People's heads are cut off on the top. We have tried resetting the cable box/tv settings for the hd/1080 format. The cable man spent about 30 minutes adjusting the settings. I switched to HDMI (from component cables) and the picture quality was worse (Cox cable) and the picture seemed to zoom slightly. The HD zoom on the remote in the normal setting seems the best obviously. Anbody have any ideas? We have unplugged the tv to reset the settings w/o success. Are there service codes we can access to change the vertical settings? Any help would be appreciated.

you willl need to get the service manual, if I have it I will post it in the technicians corner so you can download it, then you will need to go to the service menu and adjust ONLY the vertical height of the picture settings Please read through the entire procedure before attempting. do not adjust any other settings if you do not understand exactly what it does or you can cause great damage to your set. And ALWAYS write down the before settings so you have some sort of reference in case you need to start again.
