I recently picked up an HP DLP tv off of someone who didnt want to fix it.  On the way out the guy mention it could be the light engine or the lamp.  I went ahead and started researching the issue, hoping to come up with a viable answer.  When it powers on, the blue power light on the set pulsates for a while, but nothing appears on the screen.  I can buy a new lamp for $110, but I want to be sure that is the issue.  I also dont want to have to spend the money if I can avoid it.  In the past I have done soldering and general repair work so I am not completely n

Mitsubishi WS-55315 55-inch tv with green picture

I have a Mitsubishi WS-55315 55-inch tv that suddenly without warning the picture seems to have lost all red color. The picture seems clear but it is mostly green in color. The problem is intermittant because it will randomly revert back to a normal picture at times. My thought was that the red bulb was bad but after removing the front screen it appears to be illuminated even when the picture is green. I would like to attempt a repair myself but I cant seem to find any specific information on this problem so any helpfull info would be greatly appreciated..... Thanks in advance, George

Sony KP-65WS500 - Convergence Repair

I've done plenty of research on this TV to understand that I need the convergence repair. It's been about 10 years since I have studied values, etc. of resistors and such. I have ordered the STK392-570 IC and already own thermal paste. Now I'm trying to determine what values of resistors I will need and where I am to order them online. Also, I have no clue where to order the pico fuses either. I have yet to test the values of these components, which I plan to do today. A parts list with values and/or links would be a great help if anyone knows right where to find these specific parts!

I have a Sony Bravia model KDL 52XBR6 WHICH IS STUCK IN STAND BY MODE. THE FLASHING LIGHT BLINKS 12 TIMES THEN PAUSE'S. HOW DO I GET IT OFF STAND BY.

lg lcd tv faulty, no sound but picture

firstly like to say hello as this is my first post .

my tv has stopped emitting sound both through the built in speakers and headphone port.

can anyone help .....

and is it worth fixing or should i buy a new tv ???

Mitsubishi WD-62825 rolling lines -error code 12

My Mitsubishi WD-62825 is about 7 years old.  Now, when first turned on, the TV picture is fine, then after about 20 minutes, there are rolling horizontal lines on the screen.  It does not matter what the input signal (RCA, HDMI, component video, coaxial) is to the TV.

Sometimes the TV would just automatically power off by itself.  When checking for the error code, it is 12 (no error detected).  I unplug the power to the TV and then plug it back, the TV can be powered back on and stays on but with the rolling lines still present.
