Sony XBR Won't Turn on

I read many articles about Sony tvs not turning on, I own a KV-36XBR400 and when I turn it on the standby light blinks ten times. I know that four blinks means the fan is bad and I saw a forum article on another site saying their Sony standby light blinked seven times. Does anyone know what ten blinks stands for?

I have a Panasonic projection tv, model PT-5144CA. Lately, the picture has gotten a little darker,and the convergence is outta wack. I have cleaned off the 3 lenses in the back, but the pic is still a little dark, and i'm not sure how the convergence should be set.

Is there away to restore the factory setting on the convergence?

My daughter recently gave me this tv (magnavox). the thing seems to work fine but the picture is not real clear. also there is a brightness issue. i have used the remote to try and set the thing but it is still not as clear as a regular tv.

 i called magnavox and they say that they don't have any manuals for it as it is too old.

 anyone got any ideas?

Hello all...

 I am just going to throw my Sony TV out of the window!

 Ok, have connected the ps3 no problem, been using it for about a year.

 Now, have just connected the S Video lead from laptop to the tv, now, I have a problem, the PC automatically takes priority on the channel ( marked game ) I have to take the s video lead out to use my PS3

 Basically, I need to get them on different channels.... you wouldn't think difficult..

anyone have any REALLY LAYMAN ideas....
