HDTV

I have a Mitsubishi Vs-50609 50" TV which has a great picture. Question I have is if I can purchase a HD chip for it and if this chip is fairly easily installed? All answers appreciated.

Surround Speakers

Hi, everyone,

I am not 'technical' but I came across this community trying to find an answer to a question. I though someone here might be able to help.

I have a set of surround speakers from an old TV. They are what I would call 'conventional' speakers that are fed by ordinary speaker wire - two core with the bare wire ends connected to clips on the back of the speaker. Same arrangement for the output from the TV.

I have now bought a modern TV with audio out, left and right sockets on the back of the TV.

MY TV DIED.

I have a philips Big screen Tv Dinasor Type. Any way it has some scematics in a folder that was taped to the back of the TV so i went through what i know it has 110 Going to the the signal panel

however it says that there should be +13 volts and one +5 volts at the customer panel from the J5 conector at the Deflecton signal panel witch i cant find . Though i did find at the 10W amp panel j406

160 volt checked with the hot ground terminal at the same plug 2 wire .

Panasonic CT-27D30B

This set has a vertical problem, as soon as you plug it in, it powers up with a thin horizontal line across the screen, it will not turn off unless you unplug it. I replaced the vertical output ic (LA 7838) and the electrolytic caps in the vertical circuit, I also resoldered most of the power supply and all the ic's but there is no change, all suggestions welcome.

sharp lcd tv lc42xd1e

hi, hope someone can help,i bought the above tv 10months ago. last week i noticed what looked like 3 dirty marks on the lseft side of the screen , when i looked closer they where not dirty marks but 3 very faint lines running from the top of the screen to about 4inches from bottom. i phoned sharp who sent an engineer to look, the engineer told me it was screen creep and that it meant the two panels that form the screen where coming apart, he then went on to tell me that the tv would be scapped as it was uneconomical to repair and that he had been to quite afew lcds with this problem.

Sony Projection KP51WS520

To Larry Dillon or MOtvGuy or anyone who can help, I was reading the post between Larry and pnjkimbro, I have the same problem with 9 blinks with my Sony KP51WS520.I took the back off the set and I am relatively sure that the G- Board is the one on the far left. However I don't have the service manual and I have little experiance with this kind of work. It doesn't look like it would be too complicated to remove this board. Would you recomend taking this board out and taking it to a service tech and get them to replace the diodes that you refer to?
