Television and Home Theater

I recently received replaced the convergence IC's on a Magnavox 51MP392H/17 that I got for free. After fixing that problem however, I now realize that I have the fungus issue with the blue CRT in the set. I have the service manual, have ordered the CRT coolant and am now in the research stage. During that research, I have read that there may be an issue with the high voltage removing the CRT regarding the removal of the leads to the flyback transformer. Is there any merit to this? After the set is powered down, would there still be an issue with the removal of those leads?

Even so. this is a problem that has been address before at many forums ,still i havent found an answer about this situation: See I'm able to get into the convertion mode in my tv but the red only moves down wards not side ways . So I think it may be bad but I don't know for sure.  Any sugestions?

I am back with another problem...

On my Samsung HP-R5072 plasma TV, after it is turned on for at least 10-15 minutes, I start to get a bunch of small crawling red dots in the dark or black areas of the image dispayed at that particular time.
