Television and Home Theater

My mitsubishi WD52525 TV is 3.5 years old.  About 3 weeks ago, I turned it on and it got a message on the screen which indicated that I should order a new bulb.  Then the gray screen turned dark.  I tried turning on repeatedly, because I could not believe it was really dead.  I had the authorized mitsubishi repairman come out to fix it.  He did some diagnostics with the bulb door block open.  Then he eventually said that it needed a cap kit  and it would cost me approximately $800.  I almost passed out, because I paid close to $4K for

hi im wondering if any knows who can fix my television, it needs a new ariel replaced on the tv itself as it has broken off the back of the tv the serial no is: 316R900440W and the model no:SP-43J8PF i brought the tv in 2001, so its only a few years old.  PLEASE HELP IN DESPERATE NEED OF REPAIR.

i got this tv from my sister knowing it was it had problems. it had a convergence problem. i replaced both chips. i plug in everything then i plug into the wall. the red light in fron comes on but it flashes then it stop and stays red. so i push the power button and it sound like it power up but nothin happens. no picture no nothing after a while like couple of minutes the red light goes off.

i dont know what could be the problem. if anyone can help me please reply.
