Television and Home Theater

Ok, thanks in advance for any help with these frustrating problems.  I am having two major problems.  First, when tv is first turned on, it will turn off after 1-5 minutes.  I can only turn it back on by using power button on tv (remote not able).  This continues for about an hour.  Second, the screen has started flashing to a blank screen periodically.  When it happens the screen goes gray/black every thirty seconds for about 1 second.  I have extensive electrical background but am unfamiliar with electrical design of this tv.  Please help!!

i just had my convergence chip replaced but now there is a blur in the bottom middle of the screen and i was wondering how to fix it because i can not figure it out

I've replaced the two convergence IC's (used STK392-180 for original STK392-110) and one blown resistor (2.2 Ohm, 2 watt).  After that, I went through the user convergence adjustments but I still get double immages and green lines on mainly the upper right corner.  Mainly, there's a static vertical green line on the right side of the screen which does not respond to adjustment.  Is this an issue with adjusting the main convergence in the service mode.  Thanks for any advice.
