Television and Home Theater

Just started having these problems.  Will only turn on/off with front panel button (remotes won't turn it on/off).  Remotes will not work with TV.  Sound bar displays on screen and won't go away without bringing up the device menu and waiting for it to go away.  Can't change device selection.  Won't turn off while menu is displayed.

 Any ideas?

Notice several entries regarding convergence problems and thought I should share mine for any assistance someone might have. Specifically recall an entry July 23, 2007 about a similar model Samsung in which I performed the same repairs. I purchased a convergence board and installed. All colors then distorted (no problem I was expecting that). I go to align and nothing happens. I tried to align through the Function menu but the TV distorts even worse and then powers off automatically, the LED in the front blinks 3 times and then TV powers on automatically.
