help mitsubishi ws-55905 problem

I have a mitsubishi big screen television model # ws-55905 when you turn it on there is no picture or sound does anyone know if it is fixable or should I trash it?

Can somebody please help me! I just bought this tv for $300 thinking I might get a good deal. Geez was I wrong. The only thing I noticed was that I had the tv on for like 3 minutes before I notice the color and picture change, there is now a red wavelike image in bottom left corner of the tv and now makes the whole image messed up. I have no idea if this is a horrible problem or some simple fix??? Any ideas? If so, where can I find the parts and how much is this gonna run me? If too much I will take this back and demand money! Also any idea where to find a FREE manual for this?

thanks for the instruction to take apart the tv, it was easy once i got past the 2 screws on the side.  the capacitors were the  only problem, 10 for 3.34, my computer guy replaced them for me, that was all it cost me to get this fixed.  everyone else said the same like people are stating, i was told the same thing i will rebuild you another one, well  that is not what i wanted, i just simply wanted these little capacitors replaced.  still 500.00 or 1000.00.

I had a repair tech in today to fix my television, but I'm weary of his diagnosis. The guy came in, pulled out the lamp, hit the reset button a few times, and proceeded to tell me the unit needed a new optical engine and pointed out that a fan was running constantly. All this without even opening the back to look at it. Am I crazy or does this sound fishy!!!!

Mitsubishi WS-65869 Unplugged - Now Won't Turn On

During a severe storm, we unplugged our TV.  Forgot about it......a few days or couple weeks later, plugged it back in.  The green light keeps blinking -- it won't turn off so we can turn on the TV.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.
