thanks for the instruction to take apart the tv, it was easy once i got past the 2 screws on the side. the capacitors were the only problem, 10 for 3.34, my computer guy replaced them for me, that was all it cost me to get this fixed. everyone else said the same like people are stating, i was told the same thing i will rebuild you another one, well that is not what i wanted, i just simply wanted these little capacitors replaced. still 500.00 or 1000.00.
so talk to your computer guy about replacing those capacitors, its basic saudering, i don't know how to sauder or I would have done it myself. My son and I took out our instruction put things back, plugged it in and WOW my TV works again.
On the other hand, i did send mitshibishi a nasty email, they seriously need to recall these tvs, all on craigslist these tv;s are free or very cheap due to the blinking light problem, its a defect and if more people complain to mitshubishi we could get something done, because it will happen again, my tv is only 2.5 years old, 4500.00 for it , so I am a bit upset when I thought i was going to have to pay 1000.00 to get it fixed or throw it away, really upset.
i saved the email they sent me so i have a number for people to start calling and complaining.
great news that you repaired your TV set! glad to hear it!
