Television and Home Theater

I have read many threads and am new to this, so bear with me!

I acquired a Sony KP53HS30 that supposedly went through a 'power surge'.  Is that enough to knock out the convergence - or - is there more to it?

I plugged it in and do not have the cable hooked up yet, so I get a 'no signal' on the fuzzy screen that is off a little on the picture.  I found through the menus a spot that shows 2 crosshairs that do not line up (they are next to each other).

I Have Mitsubishi 65" HD Tv model WS-65613 .My Tv Has Blinking green light and does not come on.I did look inside the tv I didnt see any swollen caps.But dosent mean they arent bad.I also didnt know where to look.I replace caps on flat panel tvs al the time.So should be that different.Can you send me pics or guide or something to show me what to look for to start to try to repair this tv.

Was 2 weeks ago beautiful picture. Service man says Fly Back bad. And NLA.

Set cost $3000 and weighs 330 lbs. I live in San Carlos Calif.(below San Francisco)

 Have all paper work but no wireing  diagram.
