I have read many threads and am new to this, so bear with me!
I acquired a Sony KP53HS30 that supposedly went through a 'power surge'. Is that enough to knock out the convergence - or - is there more to it?
I plugged it in and do not have the cable hooked up yet, so I get a 'no signal' on the fuzzy screen that is off a little on the picture. I found through the menus a spot that shows 2 crosshairs that do not line up (they are next to each other).
Which way do I go? I have heard and read I/C's... Called a repair shop - probably in the neighborhood of $300 to get it fixed.
Is there anything I can do?
It is a 2001 model year also.
