How in the world do you pull out the IC convergence parts?

After the screws have been removed...then what? My husband & I are trying to fix our Sony KP-46WT510 rear projection TV. We have the service manual and found the D board. Then we found the two IC convergence parts. We unstuck them and now need them out. How hard to you have to pull to take these out? Is there any other way to get them out so we can replace them? We have the parts to replace them and would really like to move this along.

And once they come out, how do we put the new IC convergence parts in there?

Any ideas?

What's the difference?

Curious,

What is the difference between the different STK392-nnn IC's? I assume from what I read is that the main difference is the higher numbers are later rev IC's with higher temperature ratings or better stability or something else that makes them better.

Cannot center red cross for convergence

Hello,

just wanted to say thank you

looked everywhere and finally found the solution I needed on this site. My Panasonic PT 56TWD63 would not turn on it would only blink 3 times. After reading about the convergence chips and ordering them I finally changed them. Well you guys and gals are correct and I thank you for that.

Samsung SP43T6 Red Convergence

I've had the TV for a while and suddenly the red picture went way off, so now the red picture is warped towards the bottom left corner and all the pictures have big red shadows. The perfect focus stops at like 20% and manual convergence doesnt fix it. I've read on the internet that it's possible to fix this myself. Is it?
