Television and Home Theater

I was given this Philips Magnavox TS2768 C101 and it works fine, with the exception I have not ben able to Program the AUX input to use the DVD player.  I have the Owners manual but not the Quick Use Guide referenced in the Owners Manual.  The tv is hooked to satelite  and the DVD is plugged into the AUX jacks in the back

When the menue is displayed the word INPUT is absent and the letters SAP are displayed directly above the word CABLE.  During SETUP The DVD picture is displayed but haven't been able to get it programed in so it can be switched on .

I have had this tv since 2004 and it's been great. Two years ago the HDMI inputs quit working...I lived with it. But just this weekend, the tv still has a picture - although not clear - and green pixels are takin gover the display.

Any thoughts on this? Anyone willing to help?

Hello,

I have an old Sony CRT Tv and the sound is constantly going out. So i have to get up and hit the side of the Tv and the sound comes back on. Upon further inspection i noticed that i can get the sound to come back on by slightly wiggling the RCA inputs on the back of the television. So i am assuming the problem is somehow connected to that area? I use the tv speakers and DO NOT have any of the RCA's hooked up.
